Indeed, the ‘fat burning’ ingredients in Size 0 are similar to those found in other female weight loss pills.

The Size 0 marketing literature claims that the pill contains a fat burning or ‘thermogenic complex’, an ‘appetite support complex’, a ‘beauty complex’ designed to improve natural beauty and an ‘estrogen support complex’. With an extensive list of ingredients, Size 0 Labs appears to be trying to cover as many bases as possible. Unfortunately, as things currently stand, the official website has no information on the science behind the development of Size 0 or user testimonials. There are several stimulants in the weight loss formula of Size 0. The caffeine, green coffee bean, green tea and Cha de Bugre all are, or include, stimulants that have been reported to cause jitters, headaches, nausea, stomach problems and other health issues in some users.

Caffeine anhydrous: This compound is a thermogenic agent with clinically proven benefits for weight loss (e.g. Am J Clin Nutr. 1989 Jan;49(1):44-50, Am J Clin Nutr. 1980 May;33(5):989-97).

Green tea extract: There is evidence to indicate that green tea offers benefits to dieters. Studies have shown that the tea can elevate metabolism and inhibit the action of the enzyme amalyse. Research has demonstrated that it is one essential catechin, EGCG, and caffeine that are the two main active ingredients in green tea extract.

Green Coffee Bean Extract: Coffee made from green unroasted coffee beans has recently been found to promote weight loss (BMC Comp Alt Med 2006; 6: 9). The discovery parallels earlier research on green tea, but green coffee appears to have a more potent effect. There are two key types of compounds in unroasted coffee beans. The first is caffeine and the second is chlorogenic acid and its related compounds. Heating destroys the acids. Studies carried out in mice, fed a diet that contained one percent green coffee bean extract, showed that the coffee extract reduced body weight by 35 percent when compared with a control group of mice that consumed no extract over the 13 day study period. Naringin Citrus Extract: A powerful bioflavanoid found in grapefruit, giving it its bitter flavor. This extract has antioxidant and antifungal properties, and as such may help prevent cancer and atherosclerosis (hardening of arteries), as well as a number of other ailments. Naringin works synergistically with other nutrients, increasing their bio-availability and extending their effects in the body.
